Result: National Prairie Chicken Shooting Dog Championship

The National Prairie Chicken Shooting Dog Championship started on Monday, September 22 at the Buena Vista Grasslands. Confident Nation, seven-year-old white and orange pointer male handled and owned by Scott Jordan of Grant Minnesota emerged as the new champion with a strong forward race and a nice find at 42.
Erin's Southern Comfort, five-year old white and orange pointer male owned by Sean Derrig and Sean Patrick Derrig of Chicago, Illinois and handled by Sean Patrick Derrig garnered the runner-up spot with a stop to flush at 12 and a nice find at 48.
First place in the Open Derby was awarded to Ramblin' River Double Dot, owned by Bill Stapleton of Franksville, Wis. and handled by Brian Gingrich, of Prewitt, New Mexico. Second place was awarded to Prairie woods Lone Survivor, owned by Todd Mann's of River Falls ,Wis. And handled by Brian Gingrich. Third place was awarded to Erin's High Octane, owned by Jared and Allison Bell and handled by Jared Bell. Judges were as advertised Mary Sue Schalk of Dixon, Kentucky and James Kleve of Paris Kentucky.
